It is the ultimate performance machine for small/medium sized, slower, weaker waves based on John’s simple guidance – make it Fast and Fun.

The idea for this board was hatched when John began riding some different – fun boards -during some breaks from competing. By far his favourite in the last year has been our new flat rockered, FunFormance board, the White Tiger (5’6″), and he asked me to turn that design into something he could take back on tour to ride when the surf was less than pumping or on the weaker side.

The outline is a touch on the plump side for a High Performance Surfboard, but the wide point sits a more traditional inch behind centre, keeping the emphasis to surfing it off the mid to back half of the board. The wider tail-block squash helps to keep area in the tail which provides lift and drive, and also helps create pop when going to the air. A moderate hip by the front fins puts a break in the outline to help create a pivot point that allows for tighter radius turns and release in the lip.

The rocker and bottom contour is really what sets this board from other boards in this category. Its our flattest high performance board so far and that rocker translates to easy, consistent speed from the moment you stand up, through flat sections and even in super weak, small waves. But, flat rocker can feel sticky and tends to make you surf flat, so we run single to double concave (JJF’s favourite bottom contour) through the front 2/3 of the board and then blend that into a significant double concave/deep vee combo through the fins and off the tail. This bottom keeps the flatter board easy to roll rail-to-rail and the vee of the tail works to allow easy vertical surfing and short-arc carves, even in tight, pockety waves.

The thickness flow (foil) from nose to tail is balanced and clean, with the front of the board just barely thinner than the back half. The deck is flat-ish, keeping more foam (volume) out towards the rails. The actual rails are full just in from the outline (under the ball of your hand if you are holding the board under your arm), but are tapered to keep sensitivity and bite.

Ride your Red Tiger around an inch shorter than your normal High Performance Shortboard, and a bit wider. Volume should be close, but go up a ½ to 1 litre if you want added zing in weaker waves. The board will easily turn your everyday sessions into something special and we believe it will outperform any other performance board in under par waves AND still come through when the surf turns on!

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0936/9213/3754/files/pyzel-red-tig-horizontal-e1750242168733.png?v=1771024030
pyzel-white-tiger-surfboard-5ft-4-futures-white
Pyzel White Tiger Surfboard 5ft 4 FUTURES - White

The very first White Tiger was a side project board for John John Florence, who rarely rides 'fun' boards. It sat in his garage for maybe a year, and in the meantime I made a few for his little brother Ivan. It was the perfect design to fit Ivan's surf/skate style and soon he was telling us how much he loved it and sending us clips of him doing big carves and boosting airs on it. Finally JJF pulled his 5'6" out and was immediately having a blast on it too. Now its one of John's favorite boards to ride whenever he has some time off from the tour and just wants to play around with something different.

It has a clean but stubby outline, with a very full nose and wide squash tail. There is no hip and the wide point is 1 ½" forward of the center. The tail measurement is just slightly wider than the nose. The thickness is also concentrated forward, with a beak-nose design that helps keep the volume up under the chest area for better paddle power.

The bottom rocker is even and flowing, flat throughout the board and designed to get up on top of the water quickly, which lets you build and carry speed with ease. The bottom has a single/double concave running through the front 2/3s of the board which transitions into a pronounced vee/double concave in the last 1/3 through the fins and off the end of the tail. The single/double concave give the board lots of lift (think speed) while helping to let the wider design transition from rail to rail with ease. The vee running off the tail also helps the board tip over onto the rail at speed and lets you turn it up into the lip with ease.

It has a relatively flat deck that blends out into tapered rails. This keeps a lot of volume in the board while still keeping it sensitive through turns and easy to pump down the line without feeling too boaty for its volume.

We recommend you ride the White Tiger anywhere from 2-5" shorter than your regular shortboard depending on your surfing ability, and ½ to 1" wider and add a bit more volume than you normally ride. John had already helped me to develop the Red Tiger for performance surfing in smaller and weaker types of waves and we have all seen his amazing surfing on that board.

It represents the methodical advancements and evolution of the Driver2.0, the point where it is no longer even the same model. Publicly leaked and unveiled (as a squash tail) in the 2022 StabInTheDark, with Jack Robinson, where we just missed a win, ending with a very close runner up. Further refinement and adaptation from the SITD board, though 2022, cemented this design as some thing special. Virtually every top tier surfer we work with was claiming this version as the best board in their quiver. Highlighted by Griffin Colapinto and his two WCT victories of the season, in Portugal and El Salvador. The DRIVER3.0 Rnd is essentially replicated directly from Griffins magic board, during that El Salvador event. The response and accolades from every gifted surfer in our team (from vets like Kolohe Andino, Yago Dora and Ian Crane to young guns like Eli Hanniman, Crosby Cola and Cole Housmand) has been so resoundingly positive, that we felt it was time to go public and offer this design officially, for late 2022 and beyond. Simply stated, the DRIVER3.0 features slightly more tail rocker and a deeper double to single concave, through the rear half, than its predecessor, the Driver2.0. The deck line in the tail is scooped out, with lower, boxy rails, to follow the bottom curve and slice seamlessly into the water. More concave means more lift and more rail line rocker. More lift means more speed. More rail rocker, means more curve, for searing, tight radius turns. We narrowed the hip, between the feet, adding grip and stability to the outline. The round tail is fairly wide and forgiving under the rear foot, but the last few inches pull in enough to add confidence and hold in hard pushing, Pro level, pocket surfing. To balance these design elements (added tail rocker, narrower hip, scooped out deck and hyper rail rocker) we have carried a bit more width in the forward outline and volume in the forward foil. This forward volume adds glide and a more responsive drive, off the front foot. The DRIVER3.0 runs thicker, along the stringer line (for paddle power and drive) but has a higher angle “Vee” deck, which removes volume and ends in a moderate, but round and forgiving, rail. Overall, the dims and volumes are noticeably a bit more generous. Like everything else in this boards design evolution, it is a reaction to (and response from) our top tier athletes requests. Griffin is riding 5’11 x 28.50 liters. Yago 5’11 and 6’0 x 29.50 liters. Kolohe and Crosby are somewhere in between, riding similar lengths, but at 29.00 liters of volume. The DRIVER3.0 Rnd is the status quo of high level, Pro-formance surfing, today. Developed with direction, testing and feedback from the many of the best surfers in the USA and around the world, it has been proven on the worlds biggest stage, yet is designed with enough foam and built in speed to be a viable tool in any adepts surfers quiver.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0936/9213/3754/files/lost-driver-30-squash-tail-bro-dims.jpg?v=1779101364
lost-surfboards-stub-driver-3-0-511-fcs2
Lost Surfboards Stub Driver 3.0 5'11" FCS2

All new, every day, step-down, performance player, developed with Kolohe Andino. Instead it features a continuous rocker/concave combination. This is the primary difference between the two. While noticeably relaxed from DRIVER 3.0 rocker, it is still loose and lively, quick and easy to release, under the rear foot. Fitting more effortlessly into small pockets or quick dumpy sections than the SubDriver.
